Anna Danam – The Supreme Offering
Anna Danam is one of the noblest ways in which one can serve the humanity. It is considered as one of the highest forms of charity, for it nourishes both body and spirit. It is said “Anna” (Food) is indeed Parabahma Swarupam. Offering food in the name of Guru and Lord Shiva multiplies merit and spreads compassion in society.
The Anna Danam is inspired by Gurumata Matrusri Nagavenamma who was known for her deep concern for the welfare of all devotees and serving food to the needy was an integral part of her grand vision for the Sampradyam.
