Matrusri Nagavennamma Nityannadana – The Supreme Offering
Matrusri Nagavenamma, Dharmapatni of Brahmasri Simhadri Sadguru and Divine Mother for all devotees was deeply known for her compassion towards devotees and the needy. Her vision was simple and profound: No devotee who comes to the temple should leave hungry. Offering food in the name of Guru and Lord Shiva multiplies merit and spreads compassion in society. Carrying forward this sacred vision, from March 28 onwards, every day at 12:30 PM, immediately after the Mangalarathi, free meals is being lovingly served to all devotees and visitors at the temple. Before the Annadanam, devotees are warmly invited to participate in the Bhajan and devotional programme held every morning from 10 AM to 12 Noon.
March 28, 2026 (Chaitra Shuddha Dasami) was Matrusri Nagavenama’s 101st Birthday. It is befitting that the Annadana was initiated on this blessed day. On April 28, 2026, the Nityanna Dana programme successfully completed one month. The average number of devotees participating in the Bhajan program from 10 AM to 12 Noon followed by the Nityannaaana is 20. On a few days, the number of participants crossed 50. We are expecting that the average number will touch 50 in due course of time. All devotees are welcome, irrespective of caste, creed, religion, and community.
We gratefully acknowledge the support provided by the Gokula education Trust, Bengaluru and a large number of individual donors.
